| Colombia is considered the fourth richest nation in biodiversity in the world. By taxonomic group, the richest in bird and amphibian species, the second richest in plant diversity, third richest in reptiles and fifth richest in mammals. We have three biosphere reserves and 54 areas of natural reserve. |

| With only 1% of the planet’s surface, Colombia concentrates 10% of all bio diversity. The Department of Chocó is one of the most biodiverse areas in the planet. Out of the 15 most bio diverse countries in the planet, 7 are located in America and 4 are our neighbors. |
