Cyclus was created in 2002 with the purpose of delivering a message through product design by following basic principles: re-utilization of urban materials, recycling of raw materials, minimal use of resources, less excess production, and the utilization of 100% environmentally friendly materials.

From humble beginnings with only two employees, Cyclus has steadily grown to offer employment to over 25 people in Colombia, as well to many others in France, Italy, Costa Rica, the United States and Canada, in addition to several; satellite workshops specially trained to handle our materials and expand production.

Cyclus utilizes used rubber tires as main raw material; . The rubber is recovered, sanitized and purified through a chemical free process, then classified, cut in patterns for each product, assembled and sawn together.

Cyclus shows the world that Colombia is an environmentally conscious country where eco-design uses available materials for multiple purposes. Cyclus uses design as a tool for eco-development and has plans for an environmentally friendly laboratory, where an interdisciplinary approach will develop materials and industrial processes using local resources to meet the nation’s needs.

Cyclus opens an important niche in the world’s market, offering durable, water proof products of the highest quality with an innovative design, while contributing to the world’s growing efforts to preserve the environment.
